Freightex hires new CEO

Freightex has appointed Tim Phillips (pictured) as chief executive.

Phillips has 20 years in the sector. He joins the freight exchange service from his role as managing director of vehicle logistics group VMEX.

Before this, he worked for the BMW Group as general manager worldwide car distribution.

Commenting on his appointment Phillips said: “It is a great company and we’re on track to take it into the next level in terms of customer service and quality.

Freightex is the new name for X4freight following rebranding.
