The supply chain management company will control the inbound logistics for Cummins Generator Technologies in the Bavaria region.
The service covers the supply of individual parts to CEVA’s new branch office in Königsmoos, Germany.
This includes the materials supply of individual parts to the manufacturing plant, from the receiving goods department, through to the commissioning and sequencing of material, and the supply of individual production stages with shuttle transportation to the plant, CEVA said.
Two warehouses were made available for CGT with 1,200 and 1,600 square metres of storage space for warehousing all parts. Eight CEVA Logistics employees, as well as a group from Cummins responsible for quality control, will handle the operations.
According to Matthew Gilliver, Materials and Logistics Manager of Cummins Generator Technologies, “It was decisive for Cummins that we work with a reliable logistics partner. CEVA Logistics has created a comprehensive range of services that are oriented to our needs and has supported production at the Ingolstadt location.”
