Burnt Tree extends fleet

National rental company Burnt Tree Vehicle Solutions has added 100 factory-bodied DAF LF45 trucks to its 8,000-strong fleet.

The order is part of a £65 million investment by Burnt Tree to increase the size and scope of its offering.

All vehicles are 7.5 tonnes with a 4.3 metre wheelbase and are fitted with either a 5.15 metre box, or a curtainsided body.

Burnt Tree CEO Richard Metcalfe said the investment should help vehicle acquisition and operation cheaper, simpler and quicker.

Tony Pain, marketing director at DAF Truck, said that the company will extend the range of body types and sizes to meet demand.

He added that DAF is already poised to introduce further models.
