Parcelnet plans pan-European expansion

The UK's largest courier delivery network, which is owned by The Otto Group, said it plans to extend its home delivery business into Europe.

According to Carole Woodhead, Managing Director at Parcelnet, The Otto Group distribution companies handle more than 22 percent of consumer deliveries across Europe.

“Working closely with other distribution businesses in the Group, our vision is to be the first to offer a pan-European parcel-to-customer network,” she said.

Parcelnet has already begun piloting a cross-border service with a number of clients, which it hopes to introduce by the end of the year.
