Kalypso signs deal with Pinnacle

German publisher Kalypso firm has increased its UK operations by signing a contract with Pinnacle, the independent software giant.

‘Expansion’

Kalypso Media’s move to open a UK office based Leicester signifies the publisher’s intentions to crack the considerable UK market. The publisher has a number of PC titles across several genres due out before the end of the year.

Pinnacle Software is the leading distributor of independent software in the UK, providing sales and logistics support to some of the best known names in the industry.

Jonathan Hales, Kalypso Media UK’s managing director said: “Signing a partner with the pedigree of Pinnacle is an indicator of what we wish to achieve with this brand”

‘Market knowledge’

“After carefully considering how to proceed in our new UK venture and taking into account their considerable experience in the games sector, Pinnacle stood out as a natural choice for our distribution needs.”

Managing director of Pinnacle Software Peter Sleeman added: “Having known Jonathan at Codemasters, and his reputation in the business, we had no hesitation in tendering for the opportunity to work with Kalypso, whose range has some genuine stand out titles.”
