Gifford, the consultancy group have reported a 27 percent rise in pre-tax profit to £3.4million.
Unveiled turnover in the 12 months to 31 December ran to £34million.
Company confidence was reported as very optimistic for 2007, by Chairman Gordon Clark, with opportunities at an all-time high and order books remaining full.
The company continues to run the group’s graduate selection days with more planned for the current year.
Gifford received 150 new starters this year. Each receiving sponsored study, day release, bursaries, in-house seminars and external training.
Revenue stream analysis shows advances in all three of Gifford’s operational units: fee income from building work was 14% higher at £15m; fees earned in civils were up 13% to almost £10m; and the group’s environment division built on a previous rise in fees of 35% in 2005 with a 14% growth last year, to a figure of nearly £5m.
