The largest privately owned same day courier network, CitySprint, has announced the takeover of Axa Courier Express.
CitySprint position in the industry will be further strengthened by the acquisition of Axa.
CitySprint currently hold a seven per cent share of the UK same day courier market.
Axa currently provides same day courier services to businesses in and around the Heathrow area. The acquisition will mean that the Axa Courier Express name and brand will be discontinued.
Michael Blanchard, regional manager for CitySprint, says: “Axa represents one of a small number of well-established same day courier companies in the Heathrow area.
Its business model fits very comfortably with CitySprint’s, as it operates with a highly focused customer service ethos”.
