Carillion Dutch venture wins contract with Royal Philips

Arcadis Aqumen Fm wins five-year facilities management contract with Royal Philips Electronics valued at £350 million.

Arcadis Aqumen facility management is a joint venture between UK support services and construction company Carillion Plc and Dutch company Arcadis.

The JV will expand the existing Philips’ portfolio to include the major proportion of the company’s sites in the Netherlands, almost doubling the space under management to 1.6 million square metres, including office and production facilities.

Facilities management

The contract, due to start in April 2008, will provide a range of services including facilities management, maintenance, cleaning, security, mail & logistics and space planning.

John McDonough, Carillion’s chief executive said: “We are delighted to be extending the services we provide for Philips with a contract that reinforces AAfm’s position as market leader in the Netherlands.”
